MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the President extended P50 million in cash assistance to families, farmers and fishermen in Camarines Sur whose livelihood were devastated by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
It was announced by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during his visit to the province on Wednesday.

The beneficiaries are residents of Minalabac, Nabua, Milaor, Bula, San Fernando, Gainza, Baao, Canaman, Libmanan, Camaligan, Calabanga and Pili.
Article continues after this advertisementFinancial aid will also be given to 100 residents each from Pamplona, Bombon, and Magarao municipalities.
Before the event, the Department of Agriculture extended more than P247,000 worth of crop insurance payments to 10 farmers affected by Super Typhoon Julian.
Meanwhile, the crop insurance payments for farmers affected by Kristine are currently being processed by the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation.

As of November 5, the total number of reported deaths due to the combined effects of Kristine and Typhoon Leon reached 151, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
